“Life. in Hong Kong” is heading to Edinburgh Fringe Festival!!

Contemporary mime inspired by daily life. Collaged everyday scenes show the different faces of Hong Kong. Director Tang Wai-kit, the first Hong Kong student of the international mime master Marcel Marceau, leads 6 young actors to create this impressive work full of laughter and tears.

Life.in Hong Kong is a collective creation of our actors, after three months observing the life of Hong Kong people. The work uses a delightful and humorous way to present how do we survive in a rapid city with compacted residential area. Meanwhile, showing the loneliness of citizen, as well as the social phenomena of internet addiction. It simply touches the heart of metropolis. Clown, Pantomime and Corporeal mime are the main technique used in the creation, with chic music and minimal scenography design to present the life of Hong Kong.

Full house for the 13 performances at first run and audiences were amazed! Life.in Hong Kong was nominated for Best Performance in the 8th Hong Kong Theatre Libre and invited to 12th ACT Shanghai International Theatre Festival. We are also invited to bring the show to schools and communities. It is definitely suitable for anyone who has never encountered mime before.

Extremely well donebrilliance in the story-telling…delightfully surprised
